No amendments to current issuance calendar expected as a result of the intended loan to TenneT

Today the Minister of Finance has informed parliament of the government’s intention to grant a loan to Tennet for an amount of € 25 billion of which € 13.1 billion in 2024. The loan may only take effect following formal approval by parliament.

The DSTA has (re)considered the impact of this loan on the funding need for 2024 and the call on the capital markets. The previous years have shown that the expected funding need is adjusted during the course of the year. At this moment it is too early to provide a more accurate estimate of the overall funding need. Therefore, the intended loan does not have an impact on the issuance calendar for the first quarter of 2024.

The DSTA will continue to monitor the situation and publish an update where necessary. As scheduled, the quarterly outlook for the second quarter containing an update on the funding need will be published at the end of March.
